The Final Four

Congrats to Virginia Commonwealth, Butler, Kentucky, and Connecticut for making it to The Final Four for NCAA Men's basketball. Both of these games should be exciting to watch. I really want to see what #11 VCU is going to do against #8 Butler. These 2 teams have caused upsets and have helped to bust a lot of brackets this year. #4 Kentucky and #3 UCONN are the highest seeded teams left in the tournament. Wow!! Who would have thought that there would be no #1s and no #2s left? I sure did not. I was so glad that I did not participate in a bracket challenge after the first round. Now, I think that I would have been so much more disappointed if I had. I have been able to just sit back and watch the games without worrying about my bracket being killed.

I thought that Duke would make it to The Final Four. Boy, was I wrong! I missed their game against Arizona and I was shocked when I found out that they lost. I was also wrong about the Tarheels. The went further than I expect them to because in all of their early games, the did not get down by a lot in the first half. It was almost as if they were a different team in the NCAA tournament than they were in the ACC tournament. But, I was a little sad that their run came to an end in the Elite 8 against Kentucky.

So many of the games came down to the final shot. I can only hope that the last 3 games of the season are just as exciting. I will be watching.

On the flip side, the NCAA Women's tournament has #1s and #2s in The Final Four. Congrats to Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Connecticut. This is the time when I watch the women's tournament. The games in the Women's tournament are usually not as close as the games in the Men's tournament. I watch SportsCenter for updates throughout the early rounds of the Women's tournament. Then, when it gets to the Final Four, I make sure to watch the rest of the games. Not sure why, but I have always done this.

Texas A&M upset Baylor and Notre Dame surprised Tennessee (one of my favorite women's basketball teams). For the most part, Stanford and UCONN rolled through the tournament as expected. I would love to see both of these teams play each other in the Final game. I will not say which team I am pulling for more than the other. I will be watching all 3 of these games as well.

UCONN's Men and Women are in the Final Four again. Let's see what happens this year with both of these teams.
