Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing is my new found interest. I've been online for so many years and have seen internet marketing skyrocket over the past few years. As a consumer, I receive so many emails on many different products including ones that I have never even heard of.

Since I have been searching for ways to make money online, internet marketing is one of the businesses that comes up the most. For the longest, I looked and kept it moving because the offers did not appear to be legit. I have also seen so many people say they will train you if you pay hundreds of dollars upfront. I work hard for the money that I currently get, so that's not really an option for me. Couple that with the fact that I am the most skeptical person ever when it comes to shelling out money for something that I know nothing about.

Recently, however, I came accross a business opportunity that I think may very well be worth it. First of all, it is free and is called "7 Steps Guide to Results" I am going through the training now and it is extremely interesting. So interesting that I have found myself up all until 4am. That's crazy, I know, but that is just how excited I am about learning this internet marketing system.

I have learned so many new things that I never knew were available, met some great people and it's only been about 2 weeks. You can check all of this out here:

To Say or Not to Say..."The Word"

That is the question for some.

I really don't understand the fascination of people wanting to say any version of the n-word (the word). I've had conversations with 2 different people who have either stated or been excited that they were taught how to say the word and it would be ok.

Conversation #1: A white female co-worker, who I had been working with for some time, was talking to a group of co-workers about a situation that happened with a black male co-worker. Apparently, he was annoying her because he was complaining and kept mouthing "the word" instead of saying it. She said that she asked him, "Why won't you just say the word out loud? My husband is black and my kids are black. So, I can say the word." I politely tapped her on her hand and said, "No boo, you cannot." She and everyone else became very quiet in that conversation.

Conversation #2: A white female co-worker went to lunch with some black co-workers. When she came back, she came to me and excitedly said, "I learned a new word today." Then, she told me that she went to lunch with a few co-workers. The woman who was driving had the music on and everyone was singing the songs. She was not singing because she did not know the songs. However, the co-workers decided to teach her the songs. She stated that when it came to "that word" she didn't want to say it. However, the co-workers encouraged her and taught her how to say it. She was so happy that she was able to say that word, but I kindly killed her joy by saying, "It is never okay for you to say that word. If anyone else hears you saying that word, they will go to HR and you will probably be fired. Also, you might want to stop going to lunch with the people you went with." I also explained to her why she should never say that word. I believe she understood my point, but I don't know if she said that word after that day.

Being in these situations made me realize 2 things. 1. There are people who give people the okay to say a negative word without telling them the consequences. 2. There are people who honestly believe that is okay for them to say the word and are shocked when people have a problem with it.

Just because one person tells you that you can, does not mean you should. You are a grown person.

Broken Heart

Do you ever really get over a broken heart?

I was watching a show on Youtube. In one episode a 🚺 started dating a 👦. They appeared to really be into each other. However, after a while he changed things up. He told her that he was going out of town to see a friend, which ended up being his ex-girlfriend. During the time that he was out of town; the 🚺 called him, but he never answered. When he came back, he told her why really went out of town and that he was still in live with his ex. The 🚺 was hurt, but really had no reaction because she had been through a broken heart before.

This got me to thinking about my own life and wondering if we ever really get over a broken ❤. I don't think you can ever really get over a broken ❤ without closure. I think you move on from having your heart broken because you have to, but having closure to the situation helps you heal.

Realizing that someone doesn't actually want to be with you hurts. That is a pain that you don't ever want to feel too often. It makes you not want to open your ❤ to anyone. I've experienced this twice in my life.

The first time, I did not think that I would ever get over it. There was no closure to the situation because I had not contact with the person. I knew that I had to do something to get over being rejected. So, I wrote a letter explaining how I felt to the person. I never mailed it, but it eased the pain and eventually made me feel better.

The 2nd time, I knew exactly what to do. I actually got closure. I wrote another letter and gave it to this person. Why did I write the 2nd letter? It allowed me to let the person know how I felt without crying or forgetting.

Although, I felt better then, it is hard to put myself out there like that again. I'm sure there will come that time when I will have the courage to open my ❤ again. When that time comes, I will know what to do.

Mashed Potatoes

This week, I have found myself enjoying Mashed Potatoes. Weird, I know.
Last week, I wanted some mashed potatoes and didn't want to buy them from a restaurant. So, I decided to make my own. I purchased 2 bags of potatoes and set out on my mission to make mashed potatoes.
Now, I didn't go by a specific recipe. I just knew the taste that I wanted. The ingredients that I used are:
6 Potatoes (multiple sizes)
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Bacon Ranch Salad Dressing
Cheese (optional)
I peeled the potatoes, cut them in to smaller sizes and washed them. Then, I placed the potatoes in a big pot of water. I added salt and pepper and let the potatoes boil.
Once the potatoes were soft enough to mash, I poured the water out of the pot, placed the potatoes in a bowl and used a fork to mash them. This is where I added the Butter and Bacon Ranch Salad Dressing. Then, I stirred until the mashed potatoes were smooth. I took my first bite and fell in love. lol
I know that most people use Milk. I preferred to use dressing because it not only makes the mashed potatoes creamy, it also gives the mashed potatoes an instant flavor. I think that I loved the Bacon Ranch, but I think I am going to try a different salad dressing next time for a different flavor.
This was definitely a success for me because I have eaten mashed potatoes almost every day since. I couldn't let 2 bags of potatoes go bad. :-D

Hobbies!!!

I have been on a quest to find a hobby. I just want something that I can do in my free time.

I have thought about many things that I could do, and have actually tried a couple, but I have a tendency to get bored and just stop. If you've followed my blog or look at the archives,  I'm sure that you can tell.

Blogging is one of the first things that I tried about 7 years ago. I really didn't push myself to write a blog every day, week or month. I didn't think anyone would care about what I post. I thought that some of the things that I thought about shouldn't be posted and stopped posting. I started again about 2 years later trying to post about 1 subject, but I didn't follow that. Now it's 4 years later and I'm thinking...I named this Kadprat Rambles for a reason. Although people say should focus on one niche, I don't have to stick to just one. I can talk about anything and everything that I want.

I have tried crocheting, but I didn't like it. Then, I tried loom knitting. I bought yarn, loom kits and even made 2 hats. I am currently working on a scarf that I started a few months ago, but I keep stopping. I fear that I am getting bored with loom knitting. I have all of these ideas in my head, but it takes too long to finish one. That's an excuse. I know. I see the loom machines that work faster and wonder if they would help keep my interest, but they are expensive.

I have thought about photography. I have an older digital camera and of course a camerabon my smartphone. I like to look at and take pictures. I love pictures of beaches, the sky, trees, animals, grass and oceans. The question is...does this mean that I would want to photograph these things myself? I recently started researching information about photography online.

Only time will tell where this quest will take me.  I am going to do my best to find something that sticks and becomes a passion.

It's Final Four Weekend...Women's Edition!!

I caught the second half of the Baylor vs. Louisville game. At the time that I started to watch the game, Baylor was down by about 8 points. As the game kept going, I got the feeling that they would never come back from that deficit. Louisville's lead eventually ballooned to 19. I was like...it looks impossible that Baylor is going to come back from this! But, the number 1 team in the country did come back and took the lead by 1 point. But, in the end, it was Louisville who wanted it more. Then, Louisville got past one of my favorite Women's college Basketball teams, the Tennessee Vols. The Louisville Ladies seem to be on a mission. The Ladies of California better be ready for a battle.

The big game, for me, in this Final Four will be the Connecticut vs. Notre Dame match up. Everyone should know why!!! Notre Dame made it to the final last year and lost to Baylor. Now that Baylor is out, it's going to be interesting to see if Notre Dame can win the title. In order to get to the final this year, they have to get past the Lady Huskies. Connecticut is another one of my favorite Women's college Basketball teams. Notre Dame beat Connecticut last year in the NCAA Women's Tournament. So, I believe that the Lady Huskies will be thinking revenge. But, the Lady Irish will have the confidence because they have been on a roll against Connecticut this season.

Either way, this Women's Final Four will be full of intensity and I am going to love watching every minute of it!

It's Final Four Weekend!!

It's almost the end of College Basketball Season. :-(

The entire right side of all 3 of my Brackets is busted. Thanks, in part, to Florida Gulf Coast and some upset picks that didn't happen! Then, there is Wichita State that shut down the bottom half of the left side of my Bracket. My only hope for a little redemption now is Louisville! They are the number one team overall and now have even more motivation with what happened to Ware in their game with Duke.

Even with all of the upsets, this has still been a great tournament. I can't wait to see who takes the crown...Michigan vs. Syracuse and Louisville vs. Wichita State. I will be watching!

"The Game:...One of My Favorite Shows!!

It's Tuesday Night and I am watching one of my favorite television shows "The Game"! I like this show and have since the beginning. It has 2 of my favorite things...love and football. I love the fact that the premiere was a whole hour. They need to do that for every season premiere.

Yes, I wish Derwin and Melanie were still a part of the show. However, I feel like I should not count the show out just because the main characters are no longer on the show.

I like Lauren London's character, Keira. She is showing that not all women jump in bed with an athlete the first time they meet them. Yes, it is okay to like, be attracted to, and kiss a guy. But, you do not have to be easy.

I like Bryce as well. Not only is he a fine, sexy, confident man; he is willing to go after the woman that he wants. Based on the commercials, I am not sure if he is chasing her because he sees her as a challenge or he really wants to be with her. Either way, it is going to be entertaining to see how they interact with each other throughout the season.

You could tell in that she was hurt and he felt bad about him being with her friend. Yet, they still want each other. She is just fighting it because of what he did. We, women, tend to like a guy more than we let on and the fact that we are hurt when he does something like that tells everything.

I am falling in love with this story line with every episode!!

Now, what I don't understand is why Tasha is cheating on Pookie. After all these years, she has finally found love. But, she keeps messing with Rick Fox. They are still in love with each other, though. Pookie doesn't seem like the type to give up easily. I see him being pissed off about what Tasha is doing.

This story line has me nervous for Tasha.

Chardonnay is new to "The Life" and I am interested to see how she grows through out the season. Last season, we saw how much Jason really wanted to stay married to her. It remains to be seen if he really loves her.

Malik has become his old self. I really liked when he was in love. One thing is for sure, he is going to give Blue an even harder time than he gave Derwin in his rookie season. I am sure of that!!

Lobster Tail and Shrimp

I love seafood. I think I have had every kind of seafood there is. However, my first time having Lobster Tail was last year on a cruise. The Lobster tail and shrimp was so good that I had to have 2. From this picture, it may not look appetizing, but you just have to taste it.

The First Round is Done!

How is your Saturday going? I'm under the dryer at the Hair Salon. Its such a beautiful day here in South Carolina.

Well, I was just thinking about the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Only 2 top seeds were upset. The Orlando Magic lost to the Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Boston Celtics was the only team to break out the brooms on their opponent.

I think that the first round had a lot of drama early on. Then, most of the top seeds started settling into their grooves. I can't wait to see what the second round brings.

Congratulations to teams that have moved on.
Chicago Bulls
Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
Miami Heat
Los Angeles Lakers
Dallas Mavericks
Oklahoma City Thunder
Memphis Grizzlies

I have not chose a team to pull for. I hope round 2 has way more drama than round 1.

Until next time,
Kadprat
